Tesla Model Y REVIEW IN CANADA
Tesla is considered one of the most innovative companies in the world, and that’s not just because it builds all-electric cars. From the beginning, Tesla has been focused on building an entirely new type of vehicle, one that relies more on artificial intelligence and software than mechanical parts. The first Model S was released in 2012, and today Tesla sells four different models: The S, X, 3 and Y. They’re all fully electric vehicles that have no emissions at all, a stark contrast to the gas-powered cars most people drive today.

ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
The base model of the Tesla Model Y is called “Long Range”. It has a 384 hp engine and a range of 512 kilometers. This version accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 217 km/h.
The second version is called “Performance”. This version delivers 470 hp, a range of 488 kilometers, accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

EXTERIOR DESIGN
It is a mid-size SUV, which is 4.75 meters long and has capacity for five passengers, as well as an incredibly large cargo area.
In terms of design, they have been very practical. Basically what they’ve done is they’ve taken the Model 3 and made a taller, bulkier version, especially the A-pillar. It’s not an SUV with outstanding ground clearance, so it’s more of a crossover.

It’s difficult to differentiate a Model Y from Model 3 at first because the design of almost all of its components is identical , with the same lights, bumpers, hood, etc.
Only the surface of the roof and windows, together with the tailgate that has a notably higher waistline, allow it to be differentiated from the Model 3. We are therefore facing a car that shares 75% of the design with Model 3, but which many people like.
INTERIOR
The recipe applied to the exterior design is the same that they have used for the interior. We find ourselves with a cabin in which control minimalism prevails, clean surfaces, ample space in both rows of seats.

As usual in Tesla, all the controls of the vehicle are brought together on a 15-inch screen located in a central position. The steering wheel only has two controls, threads located on each of the sides that allow you to manage some basic functions such as raising and lowering the volume of the radio or adjusting the mirrors.
Undoubtedly one of the strengths of the Tesla Model Y is its interior space and the panoramic roof adds to it.
Cargo Space
An SUV of 4.75 meters long has a trunk of 857 liters is something super special. The trunk is super large, super deep and its shapes are quite usable. In case someone falls short of those 857 liters, there is another 117-liter trunk in front .
