Review of Rolls-Royce Phantom in Australia
The Rolls-Royce Phantom, the flagship of Rolls-Royce has to be one of the most iconic cars of our time, recognizable all over the world. The eighth generation of the Phantom was released in 2017 and has won several awards since its debut, making it even more popular and sought after. The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the definition of class and style, something you’ll be proud to drive wherever you go. Some would say it’s an expensive investment, but many features justify this price tag and make it worth every penny spent on it, so keep reading and find out what they are!

Engine and Performance
The Phantom features an incredible 6.75 liter twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers 563 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, just enough to get you from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds! The engine itself is crafted out of aluminum and uses ceramic bearings to decrease friction loss by around 10% while increasing longevity. What’s more, it’s super quiet! Phantom has 300 ponds of material to reduce noise inside the cabin. As for fuel efficiency, expect about 12 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. It takes premium unleaded gasoline and can go as far as 330 miles before needing a fill-up. Rolls-Royce Phantom comes with four-wheel steering and has a built-in camera to detect potholes. The steering is heavy at low speeds but lightens up once you’re above 20mph, giving it a delicacy that many will appreciate. However, if you haven’t driven such systems before then it can take some adjusting. If you want to get from A-B as quickly as possible, then you might find yourself missing out on some of what makes these cars so special.
That said, I was impressed by how well it responded when I drove into a corner or made an emergency stop – there’s very little delay between your input and what happens next. It may not be quick enough for track days but I think most people would be happy with how direct and natural it feels. The driving experience in Phantom is beyond words because there are no words to describe how great it drives.
Interior
The Rolls-Royce phantom’s interior is built with ultimate luxury in mind. With seating for 4 passengers, it comes with massage seats and wooden and metal panels. It even has a refrigerator on board.
The first thing that comes to mind when you think of driving in a Rolls-Royce, or any car with leather seats for that matter, are two words: deep bucket. The Rolls’ tan upholstery feels luxurious against your skin and soaks up bumps along with those long city commutes. It’s hard to get tired in these soft yet firm seats. They grip your backside like an old friend even after hours at stoplights and traffic jams. But if there is one downside to riding in comfort it’s that it can be difficult to get out of them once you do arrive at your destination. You may need help from another person just to break free from their grasp!
